This is what it is to be Christ-like

One of things that draws me to the camp ministry is the people you meet people like these two. This is Pam and Anthea, her daughter. What a neat couple of ladies. They love the Lord and serve him faithfully. I just want to give you a little info on these two gals.

Pam, as I said is Anthea's mom, she is also the mom of the pastor that preached at the camp this weekend: Mother’s Day. Where to start... Anthea was married for several years. They were expecting their first child, such an exciting time for any couple. When Anthea delivered the healthy little boy she immediately had a brain aneurism burst and then three strokes. The doctors told her family she would not survive. We know however that it is not the doctors who are in control, but our Heavenly Father. Anthea has had a hard road, but never lost her love or passion for Christ. During the last four years she has over come her paralysis, although she uses a walker and is still in therapy. She has gone through a divorce and her sister is raising her little boy. She lives with Pam who makes sure she can get to her therapy and helps with any need she has. (Her ex husband is remarried with another child. It seems he knew his new wife well before Anthea delivered) It is amazing to me what a wonder our God is. He has given Anthea and Pam the grace to forgive her ex husband as well as his past girlfriends. How wonderful it is to know the love of Christ as to be able to extend that love to those who have hurt you. I believe that is called being Christ-like.

Father help me to be more Christ-like in all my daily challenges. For you honor and glory alone not mine.   AMEN.
